CounterPoint Purchases Convergence!
CounterPoint® is pleased to announce the acquisition of Maryland-based Convergence
Corporation in a move designed to strengthen CounterPoint’s position as the industry’s
leading counter mat manufacturer.
CounterPoint plans to maintain Convergence’s Forest Hill, Md. production facility and
utilize their staff. Convergence has been producing premium counter mats for over 25
years using American made materials. “The experience of their production crew is essential
for the manufacturing of Convergence’s specialty products,” comments Ed Hamilton, president.
“Having a production facility located in Maryland will also open up many opportunities to
accommodate our customers located on the East Coast.”
This acquisition expands CounterPoint’s line of counter mats by incorporating Convergence’s
exclusive sealed edge construction. Going forward, this unique, durable product will be
branded as Precision Molded counter mats. “We’ve long respected Convergence’s durable
construction and we’re thrilled to incorporate their product lines to offer the industry’s
most comprehensive line of point-of-purchase counter mats,” says Hamilton.
